Project Description
WET CAST
HIGHLY DURABLE
Wet cast stone is a highly durable non-combustible facade solution. Significantly faster to produce and detail than traditional stone, wet cast facades can save time and money across a project.
Highly versatile in its appearance each wet cast project is bespoke, individually tailored moulds can create any thing from simple profiles through to complex details and seamless curves. Design flexibility doesn’t stop there at Chatsworth we have a range of different colours and textured finishes to further customise the final look and feel of your project.
A key advantage of wet cast stone is the ability to add steel reinforcement cased within the mix. This process allows for larger uninterrupted panels sizes and can be structural, load-bearing and self supporting. The addition structural facade elements to your project removes the necessity of supporting lintels or visible steelwork.
In addition to its durability our Wet cast products achieve an A1 non-combustible fire rating, making Wet cast stone an ideal option for use on high-rise or residential buildings.
Throughout the manufacturing process we have stringent quality check procedures in place, reassuring our clients and partners that they will receive exactly what they need.
As an extremely dense and robust material wet cast stone performs excellently in adverse weather conditions and requires minimal maintenance to keep its desired appearance long term.
Benefits of Wet Cast
High Strength
Wet Cast Stone is extremely dense and strong with a high compressive strength. It can also be reinforced for structural and load-bearing application. Ideal for use in exterior facades as it responds well to extreme weather and impact.
Non-Combustible
Wet Cast is classified A1 non-combustible and is fully compliant for use above 18 meters alongside other non-combustible materials. Allowing architects and building specifiers to have complete confidence in Wet-Cast application for high-rise projects.
Cost Effective
Wet Cast stone is comparable to natural stone with regard to look and performance, at a dramatically reduced production cost. Designs can be produced quickly and at large volume providing significant cost savings compared to the traditional method of carving natural stone.
Low Maintenance
Once in place Wet Cast Stone is extremely low maintenance as it is durable, resistant and weathers well. It can be easily cleaned with clear water and mild standard detergent.
Design Flexibility
Suitable for both historic and modern building design Wet Cast profiles are fully customisable allowing for bold clean lines, complex shapes and fine details. A wide range of different colours and textures can also be achieved.
Large Format
The manufacturing process of Wet Cast Stone and the ability to reinforce enables the production of large format panels and details. Our in house designers can work closely with building specifiers to guide on optimised panel sizing.
